Project: Holt Residence McGilvra Project   Project Description: 3,200 sq. ft. new construction house   Programmatic Criteria: Design a home for a couple with one child on the way and possibly more in the future that is informal and comfortable, yet provides for entertaining. Provide rooms that can switch from informal to formal, (e.g. Family Room to Dining Room) due to square footage limitations.   Design Concept: Fusion of loft-like urban space and elegant, contemporary townhouse, merging wife's desire for romanticism/historical appreciation with husband's modernist aesthetic.
