Design Concept:
Traditional, modern, flexible and elegant.

Design Solution:
Took cues from the existing traditional architecture and built on them in a consistent fashion. Salvaged existing staircase, railings, and beams in the Entry; carried existing paneling and beam details into new adjacent areas; replicated beam details in the Dining, Living and Family Rooms; replaced craftsman-like windows with full height French windows or larger mullioned windows. Introduced minimal, sleek design components, juxtaposing them against traditional elements at plumbing fixtures and cabinetry throughout the house. Used antique architectural elements to authenticate the traditional aspects of the house in areas such as the antique marble fireplace in the Living Room, the antique guardrails on the Entry Porch, and the Juliet balconies throughout.
